Maybe you’ve seen it, “items come from a pet-free home.” Whenever we see that we have to think twice. Pet-free home? Who would want that? If anything now I’m thinking twice before buying!
Goes without saying, we LOVE our pets. We want you to know that your pieces come from a pet-friendly home. That means as we wrap your cutting blocks, maybe out of the corner of our eye we see two little beady eyes looking at us. Or maybe cali walks out of the shop for a breather and he has a buddy ready to play ball for a few minutes. It’s a beautiful thing.
We believe a pet-friendly home is much better than a pet-free home. These little dudettes have expanded our hearts in more ways than we can count and their little quirks even inspire our work. Eventually we would love to produce a wood piece that is just for pets. Stick around!

Reese is a 12-years-young miniature pinscher x chihuahua mix. She’s as shy as they come but, it the chillest little one you ever did meet. She never met a person she didn’t like and if you give her a minute to warm up to you, she’ll get cozy in your arms.
Raja is our O.G. She’s our first dog and her name really suits her. She is very similar in personality to a full-grown tiger. She’s going on 14-years-young and you’d never know it by her quick reflexes. She wouldn’t be our chihuahua if she didn’t bark at other dogs 10x her size. If she gets cozy with you, you must be one-of-a-kind.
Last but not least, there’s Robin. Our youngest of the pack and certified r-o-w-d-y. She’s a beagle x cocker spaniel mix going on 5-years-young. She’s not Robin if she doesn’t have her peanut butter teal blue ball within reach. Make sure not to get up towards the backyard because that means…it’s game time. Time to play fetch. Let’s just say she keeps Cali Woodworks LA livelier than ever.
If it were up to me, I’d write a 40-page essay about each of them. Our pets have taught us so much about care, patience, responsibility, and love. We wouldn’t have it any other way. They are as much a part of Cali Woodworks LA as us two. Maybe now you’ll think twice when you see ‘pet-free home.’
